At least 13 people have been injured after a bus crashed into a building at a busy intersection in Seoul’s downtown Seodaemun District on Friday.

The city bus veered off the road near the Seodaemun Subway Station intersection and onto the sidewalk at 1:27 p.m. before crashing into a building.

At least 13 people were reported injured, including the bus driver.

Two of the victims were said to have sustained serious injuries, according to local authorities.

Police said there were no signs the bus driver was impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash, but added that further drug testing would be conducted as part of investigations.

Some sections of Tongil-ro, where the bus crash occurred, have come under traffic control measures as authorities at the scene deal with the accident.
