Light rain will continue along the east coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province through Wednesday night, with higher elevations seeing up to three centimeters of snow.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, dense fog is expected in inland areas of Gangwon and Jeolla from early morning Thursday, with visibility dropping below 200 meters in some places.

Skies will gradually clear after the fog dissipates, bringing mostly sunny conditions.

Morning temperatures will fall sharply, ranging from minus six to four degrees Celsius nationwide, about five to seven degrees Celsius lower than Wednesday. 

The mercury will drop to minus two degrees Celsius in Seoul Thursday morning.

Daytime highs will recover to between five and 14 degrees Celsius, similar to or slightly higher than Wednesday, while seas in the East Sea will remain rough with waves reaching up to three meters.
