The presidential office is set to begin relocating from the current Yongsan complex to the Cheong Wa Dae presidential compound on Tuesday.

The transfer of office furniture, computers, documents and supplies is expected to be complete by the end of the month.

The office had begun moving cafeteria and conference room supplies the previous day.

An official from the top office said the transfer will be carried out after work hours and on weekends to prevent disruptions.

Presidential chief of staff Kang Hoon-sik said during a news conference on Sunday that the relocation will be complete around Christmas Day.
