President Lee Jae Myung will embark on a regional tour next week and receive reports on each ministry's work.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said in a press briefing on Friday that Lee is scheduled to visit the major cities of Sejong, Seoul and Busan next week and receive reports before the end of the year.

A total of 228 government offices are subject to the president’s review, along with institutions outside the public sector but closely related to government work.

Kang said the reports will focus on achievements from the first six months of Lee's term as well as the future direction and tasks of each department.

The review meetings, similar to Cabinet meetings, will be broadcast on KTV and YouTube.

Kang stressed that the tour will mark the first time work reports from each ministry are broadcast live, and that the measure aims to emphasize the people's sovereignty and increase the transparency of policy implementation.
