Temperatures will remain above freezing in many parts of the country on Friday, after heavy snowfall hit the central region and northern inland areas of North Jeolla and North Gyeongsang provinces the night before.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), morning lows on Saturday will range from minus eight to two degrees Celsius, four to nine degrees higher than Friday's lows.

Daytime highs between four and 14 degrees are expected, three to six degrees higher than on Friday.

The mercury levels are likely to remain within the range on Sunday, with Seoul projected to hit a high of 12 degrees.

Around one millimeter of rain is expected in the capital area, Gangwon Province and the northern part of South Chungcheong Province between Saturday afternoon and Saturday night.
