Temperatures will fall sharply overnight, bringing an early winter chill across the country.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, most regions will start Tuesday with subzero morning lows, and strong winds will make it feel even colder.
Morning temperatures will range from minus five degrees Celsius to five degrees Celsius nationwide—including minus one degree in Seoul—marking a drop of four to eight degrees on Monday, while daytime highs will reach one to 13 degrees, about seven to 10 degrees lower than today.
Starting late Tuesday night, rain or snow is expected along the west coast and in parts of inland regions, continuing into Wednesday in some areas.
Snowfall through Wednesday may reach between three and eight centimeters along the west coast, with up to 10 centimeters possible in Jeju’s highlands.
Dry air and strong winds in the east of Gangwon Province and along the eastern coast of North Gyeongsang Province are increasing the risk of wildfires in areas under dry-weather advisories.
Waves will be high, reaching between two and four meters in the distant waters of the East Sea and the Yellow Sea.
