President Lee Jae Myung named Yonsei University Law School Professor Kim Jong-cheol the first chair of the Korea Media and Communications Commission(KMCC), 58 days after the commission launched operations.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced the nomination during a briefing on Friday.
