The employment rate of working mothers with children reached an all-time high in the first half of this year.
According to data from the Ministry of Data and Statistics released on Thursday, around two-point-67 million married women aged 15 to 54 living with children were employed in the January-to-June period.
Employment among the group jumped one-point-nine percentage point on-year to 64-point-three percent, the highest since the ministry began compiling related data in 2016.
An official from the ministry said the data reflect a broader overall increase in women's workforce participation and expanded governmental support for childbirth and child-rearing.
Within the same age group, some one-point-11 million women reported that their careers had been disrupted, primarily due to childbirth and child-rearing, a decrease of 110-thousand from the previous year.
Their proportion of 14-point-nine percent, one percentage point lower than a year ago, is the lowest recorded since 2014.
