The main opposition People Power Party(PPP) has accused Justice Minister Jung Sung-ho and Vice Minister Lee Jin-soo of abusing their authority in connection with prosecutors' decision not to appeal the Daejang-dong corruption ruling.

The party's top legal advisors, including Rep. Kwak Kyu-taek, filed a complaint against the two to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on Tuesday.

Before doing so, Kwak told reporters that the party hoped to determine through investigation which higher-up instructed prosecutors to drop the case.

Earlier in the day, the PPP held a rally in front of the justice ministry building in Gwacheon and called for the resignation of the justice minister and vice minister. 

The party plans to continue protesting on Wednesday and Thursday in front of the Seoul High Court and Supreme Prosecutors' Office and return to the justice ministry on Friday.
