National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac says there is nothing new to South Korea's plan to provide 33 billion dollars in support to U.S. Forces Korea.

Wi made the remark in a briefing on Friday following the release of a South Korea-U.S. joint fact sheet detailing the outcome of last month's summit.

Wi said the 33 billion dollar figure was estimated after calculating how much South Korea could pay for the next ten years in maintaining U.S. troops on the Korean Peninsula.

Wi said such costs include electricity rates and land costs, adding that the figure is the maximum number that the defense ministry put together to be used in future negotiations.

On South Korea's plan to spend 25 billion dollars on U.S. military equipment purchases, Wi said Seoul had existing plans to make such purchases already, dismissing the possibility that Seoul had made additional concessions.
