Rescue workers have recovered another body from the site of a collapsed boiler tower at a thermal power plant in the southeastern city of Ulsan.

Fire authorities said Thursday that the body of a man in his 30s had been pulled from the debris of Tower 5 at around 1:18 a.m, bringing the confirmed death count from the collapse to six.

The victim’s location had been identified on the day of the collapse, but rescue efforts were delayed due to the heavily tangled debris and the high risk of further collapse of the upper structure.

The 63-meter boiler tower at the Korea East-West Power Company’s Ulsan plant collapsed last Thursday during dismantling work, trapping seven workers.

Rescue teams are continuing to search for the worker who remains missing.
