Last-minute inspections are underway for the fourth launch of South Korea's first domestically developed space rocket, Nuri, scheduled to take place on November 27.

Han Young-min, head of the space launch vehicle research directorate at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI), shared an update on the ongoing preparation during an online event Tuesday led by the Korea Science Journalists Association.

Authorities have designated a launch window between 12:54 a.m. and 1:14 a.m. on November 27 at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province.

This marks the first nighttime launch, a decision made to enable the main satellite, the next-generation medium-sized satellite three, to measure the aurora and the Earth's magnetic field.

Aside from the main satellite, the launch vehicle will load 12 other nanosatellites for a total weight of 960 kilograms, with a targeted altitude of 600 kilometers.
