A stream of cold northern air is bringing temperatures below seasonal norms across the country.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, winds will remain brisk through the night, making conditions feel even colder.

By early Tuesday, subzero readings are expected in inland regions, with frost and thin ice likely in some areas.

The temperature gap between day and night will hover around 15 degrees Celsius.

Morning lows will range from minus one degree in Chuncheon to three degrees in Seoul and up to seven degrees nationwide, two to five degrees lower than Monday's readings.

Daytime highs will reach about 15 degrees in Seoul and 16 degrees in Gwangju and Daegu, with nationwide highs ranging from 13 to 18 degrees.

Waves will reach two to three meters high over the southern and Jeju offshore waters.
