Lawyers representing former first lady Kim Keon-hee have requested a DNA analysis of a diamond necklace that a shaman claims to have given to Kim, to determine who actually used it.

According to legal sources, Kim's side requested that a credible institution, such as the National Forensic Service, be commissioned to conduct a DNA examination of the Graff necklace.

The team argued that such a test was necessary to establish the facts of the case.

On October 21, lawyers for Jeon Seong-bae, a shaman known as Geon Jin, voluntarily submitted to the special counsel team a Graff necklace valued at around 60 million won, or roughly 41-thousand U.S. dollars, along with a pair of Chanel shoes and three Chanel handbags.

Jeon later took the stand during Kim’s trial on October 24, testifying that he had received the Graff necklace and two Chanel handbags from a Unification Church official and delivered them to Kim.
