President Lee Jae Myung's approval rating has climbed back above 60 percent after a month and a half.

According to a Gallup Korea survey of one-thousand-two adults nationwide between Tuesday and Thursday, 63 percent of respondents said Lee was doing a good job handling state affairs, up six percentage points from a week earlier.

It marks the first time in a month and a half that Lee's approval rating has surpassed 60 percent.

Meanwhile, 29 percent said they were dissatisfied with the president's performance, down four percentage points, while eight percent withheld an opinion.

Among those with a positive assessment, 30 percent cited diplomacy as the main reason, followed by Lee's handling of the economy and livelihood issues at 13 percent.

The survey had a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-one percentage points.
