Former first lady Kim Keon-hee’s bail hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.

Legal sources said Thursday that the Seoul Central District Court would deliberate on Kim's request for release on bail at 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday of next week. 

Kim made the request on Monday, stating that she'd been experiencing dizziness and anxiety that required proper medical treatment.

The prosecution said on Tuesday that it planned to oppose Kim's release.

Kim has been in pretrial detention since mid-August and has been accused of stock manipulation, illegal political donations and bribery linked to the Unification Church.
