The Korean Sport and Olympic Committee will open its world-class skating facility to the public this winter season and offer a variety of programs.

The committee announced Wednesday that the opening of the Taereung International Ice Rink in Seoul's Nowon District will help establish the facility as South Korea's ice sport hub.

The Taereung ice rink is the country's only international-standard 400-meter speed skating rink and the training ground for its national team.

Combined entrance and rental fees total eight-thousand-800 won, or around six U.S. dollars, for adults, and seven-thousand-800 won for children.

Speed skating and figure skating lessons will be offered to adults and children.
