A joint fact sheet, which is being finalized in last-ditch consultation between South Korea and the U.S., includes Seoul's pledge to purchase U.S.-made weapons worth 25 billion U.S. dollars.

According to a government source on Wednesday, the proposed list of purchases, set to be completed by 2030, includes command helicopters, large mobile helicopters for special operations, maritime operational helicopters, F-35A jets and air control units.

The source said the 25-billion-dollar purchases are a part of the military's defense power improvement project under its midterm plan, effective from 2025 through 2029.

The purchase list largely comprises foreign military sales under state-to-state contracts.

The allies are currently fine-tuning the details of their joint fact sheet outlining agreements reached on security and tariffs following their August and October summits.
