U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will visit South Korea next week to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) forum.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury said in a news release Thursday that Bessent will also visit Malaysia and Japan and participate in the APEC forum in Gyeongju alongside U.S. President Donald Trump as part of their Asian tour.

The White House said the same day that Trump will make a two-day trip to South Korea and meet with President Lee Jae Myung next Wednesday.

Trump is scheduled to visit Malaysia on Sunday and Monday, followed by a three-day trip to Japan, before traveling to South Korea.

The State Department said the same day that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will accompany Trump on the tour, stopping in Malaysia, Japan and South Korea between Sunday and next Thursday.
