The second hearing for former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, charged with aiding former President Yoon Suk Yeol in the December 3 martial law declaration, was held Monday and included the release of CCTV footage from the presidential office taken that day.

Prosecutors presented clips purportedly showing Han and former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun discussing the lack of a quorum needed to convene a Cabinet meeting to approve the declaration.

Additional footage reportedly showed Han nodding at Yoon’s remarks, handing documents to Yoon and Kim, and encouraging ministers to sign despite some apparent resistance.

Prosecutors argued Han helped legitimize Yoon’s actions by calling the meeting solely to meet quorum and signaling agreement.

Han countered that he had warned Yoon the martial law move would be deeply problematic and said he had intended to express opposition during the meeting.
