The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced Sunday that it will begin distributing a second round of consumption coupons starting at 9 a.m. Monday.

In this round, 100-thousand won, approximately 70 U.S. dollars, will be provided to all eligible individuals, excluding the top ten percent of income earners.

Applicants may choose to receive the coupons via debit or credit card, or as gift certificates. All coupons must be used by November 30.

Applications will remain open until 6 p.m. on October 31.

During the first round, which ran from July 21 to September 12, the government distributed 150-thousand won, roughly 107 U.S. dollars, in consumption coupons to all citizens.
