LG Energy Solution CEO Kim Dong-myung said Friday he was “relieved” that all detained Korean workers had returned safely and vowed to provide full support for their reintegration.

Arriving at Incheon on a chartered Korean Air flight with 330 workers, Kim said the company would ensure that returnees face no disadvantage in future reentry to the United States.

He downplayed concerns over delays at the company’s joint Georgia battery plant with Hyundai, saying the situation was “manageable” despite expectations of a two to three month setback.

The company announced that all returning staff and partner employees will be given about one month of paid leave through the Chuseok holiday. It will also cover medical checkups within four weeks, additional tests if necessary, and provide psychological counseling programs.

Kim added that LG will coordinate closely with Hyundai to prepare new visa strategies for U.S. operations.
