KOSPI Closes UP for Fourth Consecutive Day

South Korean stocks finished higher for the fourth consecutive day, Friday, while investors remained alert due to U.S. employment data expected later today. 

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose four-point-29 points, or zero-point-13 percent, Friday to close at three-thousand-205-point-12.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ gained five-point-98 points, or zero-point-74 percent, to close at 811-point-40.

Semiconductors, and financial shares led gains, while investors continue to pay close attention to the U.S. August job report which is set to be released tonight.

Meanwhile, the Korean won strengthened against the US dollar to reach one-thousand-392-point-five won.
