Gallup Poll: Lee's Approval Rating Rebounds to 59% after Japan, US Trips

President Lee Jae Myung’s approval rating has rebounded to nearly 60 percent following his trips to Japan and the United States.

In a poll of one thousand adults nationwide, conducted by Gallup Korea from Tuesday to Thursday, 59 percent of respondents said Lee is managing state affairs well. 

Meanwhile, 30 percent said he is doing poorly, while eleven percent were unsure.
The percentage of respondents with a positive view of the president rose by three percentage points from the previous week.

Diplomacy was the top reason for positive assessment, cited by 21 percent of respondents. 

Public support for the ruling Democratic Party remained unchanged from the previous week at 44 percent, while the approval rating for the opposition People Power Party fell by two percentage points to 23 percent. 

The survey had a confidence level of 95 percent, with a margin of error of plus or minus three-point-one percentage points.
