South Korea was assured of the gold and silver medals in the men's badminton doubles event on Thursday as two Korean teams advanced to the gold medal final.

South Korea's Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung secured a place in the final by beating Jens Eriksen and Martin Lundgaard Hansen of Denmark 2 sets to 1.

Earlier in the day, the other South Korean team, Kim Dong-moon and Ha Tae-kwon, secured their spot by defeating Indonesian opponents Eng Hian and Flandy Limpele 2-0.

The final is scheduled for Friday.
