S.Korean Judoka Wins Silver, Men's Badminton Duo Secures Gold

South Korea's Jang Sung-ho has won the silver medal in the men's 100-kilogram judo event.

In the final match against Ihar Makarau of Belarus Thursday, Jang fell behind in the beginning, but narrowed the score in the final minutes. The 26-year-old judoka, however, was unable to take the lead.

Also on Thursday, South Korea was assured of one gold and one silver medal in men's badminton doubles as two teams advanced to the finals.

South Korea's Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung qualified for the finals by defeating their Danish opponents two to one.

Earlier in the day, another South Korean duo, Kim Dong-moon and Ha Tae-kwon, secured their spot in the finals by defeating their Indonesian opponents two to zero.
