Former President Yoon Suk Yeol has issued an apology for failing to meet the public’s expectations after the Constitutional Court upheld his impeachment on Friday. 

In a message disclosed by his legal team, Yoon said he is deeply grateful to those who supported him.

He went on to say that it was a great honor to work for South Korea before adding that he will always pray for his beloved country and its people.
