More than a dozen people were injured after a man drove into a market in Seoul’s Yangcheon District on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police and fire authorities, four people were seriously injured and nine others suffered minor injuries after a man thought to be in his 70s drove into Kkaebi Market in the Mok-dong neighborhood in western Seoul at 3:52 p.m.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, reportedly did not suffer major injuries.

He passed a Breathalyzer test conducted by the police.

A witness at the scene reportedly said the vehicle rammed through the market’s entrance and continued driving for about 100 meters.

The police are investigating the accident and assessing the damage.
