The government and the ruling party have decided to spend eleven-point-six trillion won next year to stabilize prices and alleviate the burden of living expenses for low-income households.
The ruling bloc on Friday held a meeting with the private sector at the National Assembly and announced a set of measures to stimulate domestic consumption.
The government and the ruling People Power Party(PPP) agreed to provide special loans worth 50 billion won for the tourism industry and to more than double the beneficiaries of a vacation support program for workers from the current 65-thousand.
They also decided to frontload more than 36 trillion won of the 59 trillion won budget allocated for next year for the land and transport ministry in the first half of next year amid the prolonged economic slowdown.
The government plans to execute more than 12 trillion won in the first half of the year from the budget allocated for social infrastructure projects.
