President Yoon Suk Yeol has yet to submit his statement of defense to the Constitutional Court for his impeachment trial.

The Constitutional Court’s Director General for Public Information Office Lee Jin announced that as of Tuesday morning, the court had not received any documents related to the trial other than the letters of attorney from the law firms that will represent the National Assembly’s impeachment committee.

According to the official, so far six law firms, including LKB & Partners, have been selected to represent the National Assembly in the impeachment trial.

She said the Constitutional Court justices will hold a meeting on Thursday and hold the first pre-trial conference for Yoon’s impeachment trial on Friday as scheduled.
