The short-lived imposition of martial law has disrupted diplomatic schedules.

According to diplomatic sources on Wednesday, a scheduled visit by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has been postponed, with a new date yet to be announced.

The Swedish prime minister was scheduled to meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol and take part in other events.

In addition, senior foreign ministry officials are canceling their overseas trips or cutting them short.

First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun’s trip to Spain and Germany was cut short, while Second Vice Foreign Minister Kang In-sun’s trip to the United Arab Emirates was postponed.
