South Korea's under-23 Olympic soccer team took down Australia 3-1 Friday in a friendly just ahead of the summer Athens Olympics.
Kim Ho-kon's team were on top for most of the match. About 17 minutes into the first half, a persistent Choi Tae-uk's managed a pass through a group of Australian defenders for Cho Jae-jin to tap in the first score.
Six minutes later, however, a cleverly-worked free-kick doubled South Korea's lead when Kim Dong-jin pulled off a picturesque curling shot into the top right corner.
Ten minutes from the end, Australia's Jade North was dispossessed and the ball crossed to an unmarked Choi Sung-kuk for the finish.
Australia's Ahmad Elrich managed a consolation goal with three minutes left in the match.
