Dutchman Jo Bonfrere has nabbed his first win as new head coach of South Korea's national soccer team.

In a friendly match held in the southeastern Daegu City Saturday evening, South Korea beat Bahrain two-to-zero.

Striker Lee Dong-guk opened the scoring in the second minute, firing a low shot into the left corner of the net from South Korea's first corner of the match. Center-half Choi Jin-cheul gave his team another goal with a powerful header also in the first half.

Saturday's match was arranged to give South Korea some practice ahead of the Asian Cup, in which South Korea has been grouped with Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
