South Korea's national soccer team came from behind to defeat World Cup rival Turkey 2-1 in their second friendly this week at the southeastern city of Daegu on Saturday.
Turkey's veteran striker Hakan Sukur, who scored the last two goals against South Korea, put his team ahead again with two minutes left to the break.
But South Korea equalized when Kim Dong-jin gained a penalty after he was tripped in the box 22 minutes into the second half, converted into a goal by Yoo Sang-chul.
That was followed some 10 minutes later with a corner-kick and strong header by defender Cho Byung-kuk which rebounded off Turkey's goalkeeper and tapped into the net by Kim Eun-jung
Following the two friendly matches, a 2006 World Cup qualifier with Vietnam is scheduled to be held in central Daejeon on June 9.
