In Japanese pro baseball, South Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop hit his third home run of the season Monday to lead the Chiba Lotte Marines to a 5-2 win over the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes in the Japanese Pacific League.

Lee hit a 115-meter solo homer over the right-field fence in the bottom of the third inning, placing him atop his team's home run list.

The 27-year-old Lee, who set an Asian record of 56 home runs last year, signed a two-year 4.6 million dollar contract with the Chiba Marines in December.
