Samsung Lions Slugger Extends Record Hitting Streak

Now turning to Korean pro baseball ... Samsung Lions' slugger Park Jong-ho
has extended his consecutive hitting streak to a record 35 games.

During a game at the Daegu Ball Park against the LG Twins Friday, the 31-year-old second baseman hit a one-run homer in the first inning.

On Thursday, Park set a new Asian consecutive hitting record of 34, breaking the previous record of 33 consecutive games set by Yosihiko Takahashi of Japan in 1979.
