The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell seven-point-66 points, or zero-point-29 percent, on Monday, closing the day at two-thousand-596-point-58.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose however, gaining three-point-17 points, or zero-point-37 percent, to close at 856-point-25.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-284-point-one won.
