The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 29-point-25 points, or one-point-10 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-639-point-06.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 14-point-98 points, or one-point-64 percent, to close at 896-point-18.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened 14-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-265-point-two won.
