KOSPI Tumbles 2.60% amid Ukraine-Russia Tension

South Korea's main bourse closed two-point-six percent lower on Thursday after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered military operation in eastern Ukraine. 

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) dropped by 70-point-73 points on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-648-point-80.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 29-point-12 points, or three-point-32 percent, to close at 848-point-21. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened eight-point-eight won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-202-point-four won.
