The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 14-point-38 points, or zero-point-48 percent on Monday, closing the day at three-thousand-20-point-54.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell however, losing zero-point-76 points, or zero-point-08 percent, to close at 994-point-31.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened eight-point-seven won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-168-point-four won.
