The National Assembly has approved the appointment of Oh Kyung-mi as a Supreme Court justice .

Parliament passed the motion on Oh's appointment in a 184 to 19 vote on Thursday. 

Oh served as a judge at the Seoul High Court and Gwangju High Court after working at the Supreme Court Library and the Judicial Research and Training Institute. 

With parliament approving Oh’s appointment, now four out of 13 Supreme Court justices will be women, which is an all-time high.
