People who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine but missed the chance to book a reservation will have another opportunity next month.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency(KDCA) said in a briefing on Thursday that vaccinations for some five million people over the age of 18 who haven’t received shots yet will run from October 1 to 16.

Reservations will open on September 18 from 8 p.m. until the 30th at 6 p.m. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be offered.

The government had initially said that those who either missed their chance or refused to make a reservation would be pushed back to the last vaccination group.

However, it decided to reopen reservations amid the continued fourth wave of the pandemic and growing risk of the delta variant before the Chuseok holiday.
