S. Korea's Exports Rise 30.7% in First 10 Days of Sept.

Exports rose by over 30 percent on-year in the first ten days of September. 

According to tentative data from the Korea Customs Service on Monday, the country’s outbound shipments stood at 19-point-five billion U.S. dollars in the cited period, up 30-point-seven percent from a year earlier. 

Average daily exports also grew by 30-point-seven percent, with the number of working days unchanged from the same period last year at eight-point-five. 

Shipments of steel and petroleum products jumped 58-point-one percent and 131 percent, respectively, while semiconductor exports dropped two-point-one percent.

Imports increased 60-point-six percent on-year to 21 billion dollars during the cited period.

The nation witnessed growth in exports to most of its key trading partners, with shipments to the United States rising 44-point-eight percent and China 24-point-five percent.
