Small business owners held drive-through protests across the nation on Wednesday to protest COVID-19 restrictions.
An emergency committee for the group launched a rally at 11 p.m., urging its members to gather at the northern end of Yangwha Bridge in Seoul.
The participants did not get out of their vehicles, open car windows, or shout slogans during the protest to comply with social distancing rules.
The protesters called on the government to remove curfews and other measures that only restrict the operations of self-employed businesses. They also asked the government to reflect their opinions when establishing quarantine measures in the future.
The organizer said about two-thousand vehicles participated in the rally, while the police estimated the number at 120.
Similar drive-through rallies were held at the same time in eight other regions, including Ulsan, North Jeolla, South Gyeongsang and Gangwon provinces.
