Additional COVID-19 Vaccines to Arrive from Romania Wednesday

A flight carrying around one million COVID-19 vaccine shots secured through a bilateral agreement with Bucharest has departed Romania for South Korea.

According to the South Korean Embassy in Romania on Wednesday, a cargo plane containing 526-thousand-500 Pfizer shots and 450-thousand Moderna shots left for Incheon International Airport Tuesday night, local time. 

Seoul purchased one-point-05 million Pfizer doses from the European country and the first half arrived in Incheon last Friday. The country also agreed to receive 450-thousand Moderna doses in exchange for medical supplies.

The current shipment is scheduled to arrive at around 3 p.m.
