Another shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in South Korea on Tuesday.

Vice Health Minister Kang Do-tae said on Tuesday in a meeting that more than one-point-39 million doses of the vaccine will arrive on Tuesday.

The vice minister said the new batch will raise the number of vaccines shipped from Moderna since August 23 to over eight-point-15 million.  

Moderna had promised to send seven-point-01 million doses by the first week of September after a South Korean delegation visited the firm's headquarters in the U.S. last month to complain about shipment delays.

It shipped about six-point-75 million doses as of Monday and the Tuesday batch will bring the total to over the promised amount.
