S. Korea Adds 1,804 COVID-19 Cases, Marking 2 Months Above 1,000

South Korea marked the 60th straight day the daily COVID-19 tally has stayed above one thousand on Friday. 

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said Saturday that one-thousand-804 infections were registered throughout Friday, including 28 from overseas.

The country's accumulated caseload has topped 258-thousand-900.

By region, the capital area accounts for nearly 70 percent of all new domestic cases, including 564 in Seoul and 576 in Gyeonggi Province.

Seven more deaths have been reported, raising the death toll to two-thousand-315. The fatality rate stands at zero-point-89 percent.

The number of critically ill patients has risen by nine from the previous day to 376.
