Seoul has urged Beijing to enhance their cultural exchange and cooperation, asking approval from Chinese authorities on South Korea providing content services such as games and films. 

The South Korean Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the two countries held a virtual director-general level meeting earlier in the day to discuss bilateral economic cooperation. 

During the meeting, the South Korean side also called for continuous cooperation on easing the difficulties faced by Korean businesses in China and increasing flight services between the two nations. 

China, for its part, called for South Korea's consideration regarding Chinese companies operating on the peninsula while also stressing cooperation to strengthen bilateral economic relations on the local government level.  

The two sides also agreed to continue their discussions on how to enhance regional and multilateral cooperation, including via the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership(RCEP) and the ASEAN Plus Three.
