Genesis to Turn Entire Vehicle Lineup Electric to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Genesis Motor plans to turn its entire vehicle lineup electric starting from 2030 in a bid to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.

The luxury vehicle division of Hyundai Motor Group unveiled the plan on Thursday with the live stream release of its vision statement film, "Futuring Genesis.”

To this end, the company will release all new vehicles as purely electric powered by fuel cells or batteries from 2025.

It plans to complete a lineup comprising eight models of hydrogen and electric cars by 2030 and sell up to 400-thousand units annually to dominate the luxury electric vehicle market.

It will also exert active efforts to develop new fuel cell systems and next generation lithium-ion batteries that are highly efficient.
