K-pop sensation BTS has topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the 20th time, becoming the first group to ever do so since the list launched in 2014. 

Billboard announced on Wednesday that the seven-member group returned to the top spot after its ranking moved up a notch from last week, thanks to the continued success of its singles “Butter" and "Permission to Dance." 

Released in May, “Butter” spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Permission to Dance,” released last month, spent a week at the top of the list. 

Billboard said the latest “coronation is also aided by a pair of albums on the Billboard 200: ‘BTS, The Best’ and ‘Map of the Soul: 7.’”
